Returns and Refunds

Refunds

Note: This item is NOT covered by our 14 day change of mind return

Refunds are only offered for faulty or damaged items.

Please note that when dealing with handmade items and naturally dyed items, there will always be a degree of imperfection in each design. Typically, small printed imperfections and dye lot variations are not considered a fault and will not result in a refund or exchange.

If you believe your item is faulty, you will be need to submit a request with photographs of the fault within 7 days of receiving your order. The item/s must be in their original condition, with the original packaging and tags still attached. Item/s must not have been used, washed or altered in any way. It is at the discretion of Abode Haven to decide the severity of the fault and the means in which it will be resolved.

As a small, environmentally conscious company supplying handmade items and committed to reducing waste, we will generally opt to repair your item whenever possible. If repair is not possible and we have the item or one similar in stock we will opt to exchange, if neither of these options are possible we provide you with a full refund for your faulty item.

Returns

For a 'change of mind' we offer an exchange or store credit valid for 12 months. Your returns request must be placed within 7 days of receiving your items. The item/s must be in their original condition, with the original packaging and tags still attached. 

For a ‘change of mind’  you will be responsible for the shipping costs to return and resend the exchanged item.

Cancellations

Please choose carefully as cancellations are generally not accepted.

We do not refund for cancellations for any backordered or made to order items. In this circumstance we consider this a ‘change of mind’ and will only offer an exchange or store credit. All artwork orders are strictly no cancellation as they are all custom made and framed.

If you have a specific deadline to receive your items please call our Customer Service Team or email us at sales@abodehaven.com prior to ordering to ensure your items can be processed and dispatched in time. 

Applying for a Return or Refund

To apply for a return or refund please send a request to our Customer Service Team at sales@abodehaven.com

Please include the reason for the request (change of mind, fault), your proof of purchase and any photos to support the request.

Once you have heard back that your request has been approved please send your items back to;

We strongly recommend that you use a registered shipping method, so that you can track your order, Abode Haven cannot be held liable for items that are lost in transit.

Once we received your returned item it can take up to 5 business days to process.

  • If receiving a refund the returned amount will be paid back by the original method used for purchase.
  • For an exchange the new item will be sent out to the original postal address unless informed otherwise.
  • For a store credit you will receive an email to confirm this has been actioned.

Excessive Returns

We monitor returns and exchanges to identify potential abuse or misuse of our return & exchange policies. Continued returns or exchanges will be flagged and potentially refused at our discretion.

In Stock & Backorder

Items which list 'Backorder' instead of 'In Stock' on their product page generally incur a 2-4 week lead time. Occasionally items are incorrectly listed as 'In Stock' on our website. We apologise if this situation does occur and will contact you immediately to work out a solution. If you wish not to wait we can suggest similar items that are in stock to exchange for the out of stock item or you may request a refund for the out of stock item.

Warranty

Limited Warranty

In order for the warranty policy outlined in the Refunds & Returns section to apply, the item must have been:

  • Manufactured by Bandhini Design House;
  • Sold directly by Abode Haven—proof of purchase required;
  • Used in a normal domestic environment, and not a commercial environment;
  • Not subject to abuse, improper treatment, neglect or misuse; and
  • Maintained and cleaned in accordance with our instructions and/or recommendations.

Fair wear and tear is not covered by this warranty policy. Including slight fading after washing or items left in the sun. Please be aware that natural features of stone, leather and timber include variation in pattern and colour shade. We will do our best to match colours but some variation is to be expected and not covered by this policy

What shipping providers do you use?
Our primary shipping courier is Aramex. Below are their estimated delivery times:

Brisbane 1–2 business days

Sydney 2–3 business days

Melbourne 2–3 business days

Canberra 2–3 business days

Adelaide 3–4 business days

Tasmania 4-5 business days

Perth 8–9 business days

We do also use Australia Post and TNT for urgent orders. Please if your order is urgent contact our customer service team so we can organise the quickest delivery option for you.

Do you ship overseas?
Yes we do still ship overseas. Because of the current international shipping climate we recommend contacting us for a shipping quote before placing an order.

I live local, can I collect my order?
If you would prefer to collect your order to cut shipping costs - we are happy to help! Simply email us at sales@abodehaven.com with the products you are wanting to purchase, the quantities and when you need them by and we will let you know if they are available to collect and when!
